Like a lot of people I debated between getting the FT-1900R and the FT-2900R. The reason I went with the FT-1900R is that it has more receiver sensitivity, is smaller in size, and has less power consumption.
Rating: 2014-02-15. Fits the Bill. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months. After researching the UHF and VHF mobiles out there, I settled for the FT-1900R since it was the smallest mobile that would fit under the dash of my old 2001 Honda Accord, and it was simply replacing an old, defunct RadioShack VHF mobile.

14 kwi 2002 · In my experience with my ft-2900r (same process) just melting the solder is usually enough to get it to stop bridging between the 2 halves. Worst case is that you'll have to get some desoldering braid (cheaply obtained from radio shack) and use it to remove some of the solder on the pad which will remove the bridge.
10 cze 2024 · #1. I have 2 Yaseu FT-1900r's that have the same issue. The mic is not working, specifically it is not getting power, it does not light up and the buttons do nothing. Both radios receive and they both will transmit when hooked up to a TNC. The control for the TNC uses the mic port.
