These racking beams are constructed of high-grade steel for increased strength. A rubber mallet (not included) may be required to help drive the beam bracket tabs into the slot to secure the beams. The wood or wire shelves (sold separately) rest on the stepped surface on top of the beams for easy assembly.
18 wrz 2024 · Here’s a good solution: Mount it on your garage ceiling on sturdy racks made of scrap 2x4s that are screwed into the ceiling joists. Use two 3-1/2-in. screws at each joint to make the rack secure. These racks make it easy to slide the ladder out when you need it.

Attach Braces to the inside of the Beam (as shown) using 13/4" Bolts and Nuts. Repeat Steps 1 & 2 on the opposite 97" Beam of the shelf unit. After all four Braces have been installed, Brace Holes will line-up. Connect them with the two 1/2" Bolts and Nuts to support either 17", 24" or 30" Xtreme Garage End Frame spans.
