19 maj 2022 · There are a lot a scams out there nowadays. This was definitely one of them. Xfinity will never contact a customer to inform them of their internet usage or ask you to download 3rd party software.

I tried calling the number via a different phone than my account number - And immediately someone picked up and said "Xfinity tech support". Since a human being answered immediately, I'm confident it must be a scam. My questions are as follows: Is this number in fact an illegitimate scam number?
