I have a series x with a seagate 8tb game drive hub connected as well as a 500gb Samsung t3 SSD. Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed that the seagate drive is spinning up and being accessed while playing games off of my internal SSD or my samsung external SSD.
Whenever I switched the console on I would get the drive is being initialised message that normally only pops up the first time you use a drive. This seems to have prevented games from auto updating. It was the Xbox branded game hub drive too so should have been fully compatible.
