The way to fix it is to remove the charge port and solder a new one on. To avoid the issue don't use the controller while the cable is plugged in, that's how USB ports get torn up. I am having the same issue, at first I thought I had a bad cable, but I’m not sure it’s the actual controller C-port.
Set the default installation folder where your games have been installed to. Then, while the app is open, go to the game folder of each of your games and look for a game exe file in the <game name>/Content/ and start it. There might be a "gamelaunchhelper.exe" which works as well.

This usually only works for minor issues, but I'd say it's still worth trying.
For anyone whose controller is weird when playing a Xbox game pass on pc the problem is steam. In steam you go to settings and go to controller. In controller look toward what says “enable steam input for xbox controller” and switch it off.
