I went online to register the console this morning. After entering the serial number, its stated my warranty is only valid through February 22, 2012. Why is this? It states I have a 1 year warranty, but according to the web site after registering, my warranty is only good for about 9 months.

Give them a shout, they should replace it. If they bitch tell them about the sale of goods act. A xbox should be sufficiently durable to last more than one (or two, or three, up to six, depending) years. The one year warranty thing is bullshit.
