I'd disagree, after using rechargeable AAs since I got a 360, I picked up the MS battery pack last year and have already gone back to AAs. I picked it up I think in January, and by summer battery life was already noticeably decreasing.
A xbox should be sufficiently durable to last more than one (or two, or three, up to six, depending) years. The one year warranty thing is bullshit. Reply reply
26 lis 2011 · The warranty period for three flashing red lights and the E74 error is three years from the original purchase date of the console. If your console is out of the three-year warranty period, you can still receive console repair service for a fee."
