You have to wait until you get your Xbox first and then register the Xbox with serial to your account and then you can purchase it either by chatting with Microsoft (which is what I recommend) or by searching for "Microsoft Complete" in the Xbox Store on your new Xbox.
26 lis 2011 · Report abuse. The original 360 was discontinued in 2010. While it may still be possible to find original consoles new in box, the warranty is from the date of manufacture. The 360 S has no extended three year RRoD warranty. It just has the regular 1 year warranty.
I can't tell you how many times I've had to go round and round with computer manufacturers trying to get warranty authorization on a repair because of this. The other common method is by the serial number and its manufacturing or even refurbishing date.

It's not a case of being entitled to a refund within the first six months and only a replacement thereafter. If the goods are misrepresented or not fit for purpose, a refund can still be sought after six months. And the burden of proof moves to the consumer after the first six months, not one year.
