About three years back, I was able to get my 360 repaired from a Red Ring issue when it was about six months past warranty, so it can absolutely be done, just be nice and I've found reinforcing the early brake rate helps, but of course, be respectful.
It's not a case of being entitled to a refund within the first six months and only a replacement thereafter. If the goods are misrepresented or not fit for purpose, a refund can still be sought after six months. And the burden of proof moves to the consumer after the first six months, not one year.
On June 15, 2015, backward compatibility with Xbox 360 games became available to eligible Xbox Preview program users with a beta update to the Xbox One system software. The dashboard update containing backward compatibility was released publicly on November 12, 2015. [1]
24 wrz 2016 · This controller is used, at best, an couple hours every other day to play games. It's otherwise used when we watch movies or something. So this button just randomly doing this is strange. But since it's been a bit more than 90 days, I'm being told I'm out of luck.
