It's a pretty easy fix, there's a switch in the drive that tells it that the tray is closed. It usually breaks and can be glued back in place. Alternative work around is you can close tray with controller option, instead of pressing console button.

I pushed the eject button to close the tray, but it did not close, and the green ring around the eject button flashed. I then tried to close it by pushing on it. As normal, the drive automatically closed with the initial pressure applied, but then it immediately reopened again.
