7 mar 2018 · It makes the ting noise when you press the button but nothing happens. Have taken the console apart and opened the DVD drive to inspect what's causing the problem. So, when you eject the drive, it does nothing, when you press it again, the disc spins and the laser reads.
The fix is to eject the tray and unplug your power cord to keep it open. There is a small rubber band around a gear on the underside of the tray. Get a qtip dipped in alcohol and manually push the tray in and out to coat the rubberband.
It’s an easy fix. You can reach the belt with tweezers when you manually open the cd drive using a paper clip. You don’t even have to take it apart. Boil the belt in boiling water for 60 seconds. Dry it and put it back the way you took it out. Don’t be alarmed if the belt bubbles when you drop it in the boiling water.
