I have a wired Xbox 360 controller and Windows 11. When I plug in the controller it says "USB device not recognized. The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognized it." I've looked all over online for any solutions.
28 sty 2024 · I updated my PC to the latest windows update and after that my wired Xbox 360 controller(s) have stopped working on my PC. I have reinstalled the drivers, tried different USB ports (USB 3.0 and 2.0) and also verified that the controllers are functional on different windows PC.
28 kwi 2024 · While the Xbox button is flashing, press and hold the connecting button on the top of the controller next to the USB port. The Xbox button will flash more quickly, indicating it’s in pairing mode. A notification may appear, letting you know the controller was detected.
If the controller works in one USB port but not another, try another accessory in the USB port that didn’t work with the controller. If the USB port doesn’t work with any accessory, your Xbox 360 console might need to be repaired.
Restart your PC to see if that fixes the connection issue. Connect your controller to your device using a USB-C cable (or USB to micro-USB cable for Xbox One controllers). If the controller works properly with a cable connection, continue to the next step.
