The early Xbox one controllers weren’t Bluetooth whereas the later ones and pro ones are. It’s an easy connection from there, just open your Bluetooth preferences, hold the connect/pair button on the controller and pair when when it comes up on your Mac.

Has anyone figured out how to connect a wired 360 controller to the M1 macs? I can't for the life of me get anything to work. Tried the 360controller drivers and plenty of different ways of connecting it via USB.
