I will list everything I have tried first. Simple reset (hold xbox button for 10 seconds, wait a minute, turn it back on) = black screen. Hard reset: unplug everything, hold sync + eject, turn on and wait for 2nd chime. 2nd chime never comes and thus the Xbox stays on black screen.
