2 maj 2017 · I want to use something that I can precisely move to get a part right where I need it to drill. Years ago I invested in what is often called an X-Y table as well as a cross-slide table. It looks like a milling machine’s table and sits on top of the drill press’ table. It makes a world of difference.
5 lip 2012 · We are looking to mount an X-Y table onto our Solberga Drill Press. The table should be approximately 8" x 24" with 3 or 4 slots, low profile if possible, and decent quality; If only Kurt made XY tables... The best we've found so far has been a Palmgren, but their largest size is only 6"x 12".

21 sty 2021 · Drill presses typically don't have very good spindles. Yes, you can make it have low TIR by upgrading your bearings. With all the time and $ you put into it, plus getting a decent xy table and vise, you might as well get a mill that can hold far better tolerances.
