This will be the first time in over 20 years, the forum is returning to the African continent, and it is the first time that it will be held in a megacity. 18 October 2024.
The registration opened on 1 February 2024 and will close on 3 November 2024 at 06:00 p.m. (UTC+02:00). You can download your automated registration email from your GEMS personal dashboard and edit your registration details until online registration closes.

The Twelfth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF12) will take place in Cairo, Egypt. This session is the first time the Forum will take place on the African continent since its inaugural session in 2002 in Nairobi, Kenya. WUF12 will focus on sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities.
