The Apple II Plus (stylized as Apple ][+ or apple ][ plus) is the second model of the Apple II series of personal computers produced by Apple Computer. It was sold from June 1979 to December 1982. [1] Approximately 380,000 II Pluses were sold during its four years in production before being replaced by the Apple IIe in January 1983.
During 1978, when the improved Applesoft was under development, Apple engineers began work on the Apple II Plus, a modest enhancement to the Apple II. The main attraction of this newer Apple would be Applesoft in ROM, available immediately without having to load it from cassette or disk.
Apple II+ was the successor of the Apple II. It was fully compatible with the Apple II, however, has some new features like new ROM containing the AppleSoft Basic, new auto-start (store in ROM), 48 KB RAM and etc.

These are images of my personal Apple II Plus, which was distributed by Bell & Howell. There isn't any difference between this particular Apple II Plus and any other Apple "beige" model. This particular unit that I have was purchased from the original owner, a school teacher, in 1999.
Apple II is a series of microcomputers initially designed by Steve Wozniak, manufactured by Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.), and launched in 1977 with the Apple II model that gave the series its name.
