6 kwi 2020 · Purchased an Apple II plus recently. Has a number of keys that don't work very well. Has the cheaper keyboard, the one you can't replace the key switches on. Wondering if anyone has repaired this type of keyboard? Is it even worth attempting? Seen a few videos of folks messing with them. Seems like a giant pain in the butt. Any recommendations?

The Apple II Plus (stylized as Apple ][+ or apple ][ plus) is the second model of the Apple II series of personal computers produced by Apple Computer. It was sold from June 1979 to December 1982. [1] Approximately 380,000 II Pluses were sold during its four years in production before being replaced by the Apple IIe in January 1983.
29 cze 2024 · The RIFA cap was using the outer holes (“holes 1 and 3”), and my smaller cap fit perfectly into holes 2 and 3! Cool beans. Original RIFA cap (pin spacing of around 2 cm I believe) and replacement (1.5 cm). (The replacement cap has its X2-certification on the other side.) The PSU had two RIFA caps.
