So in conclusion, Silithus is the best map for farming thorium ore / green gems, but if the competition is too high and you're getting less than 80 ores pet loop, you might wanna check Un'goro :) Happy hunting!

Winterspring is the best place to farm thorium. It can also be farmed in Silithus, Swamp of Sorrows, and Un’Goro Crater. Thorium Ore can also have the following gems and stone mined:

The best and most accessible location on where to mine in WoW for Thorium Ores would be Un’Goro Crater. This place lies near Southern Kalimdor. Alliance and Horde members will be able to access this place by going to Silithus which is on the west.
