In case it's not clear in the video, there's a small quest icon in the top-right corner of the search box when buying items which you can select whilst you have an active quest in the Quest Helper. Whilst this is ticked, all results shown will be items you need for your current quest.
A pet is a non-combat NPC loyal to a player that is generally obtained from monster drops and skilling. Most pets are very rare drops from certain bosses or skilling activities and do not serve a purpose other than aesthetics.
