I don't want to wander about encountering locked door after locked door - and having to find 1000 random objects in order to open those doors. I want a ticking clock, an engaging storyline and something to lose yourself in. My issues with these games: gamers who like hidden object games are treated like children.
The first four games involve almost 100% hidden object searches with some scant puzzles interspersed between them. I love 'em, but these ones aren't for everyone. The later ones involve point-and-click adventure gameplay with more difficult puzzles and an item inventory.
Please recommend games. The modern hidden object games are too often not what I seek. They are more like 30% finding hidden objects and 70% figuring out where to apply them. But back in the day, HO games were just that - there's a bunch of stuff on the screen and your job is to find all the stuff.
