The Ghoul (Ron Sweed) heir to Ghoulardi's (Ernie Anderson) fright wig and Goatee carried on the outrageous Shock Theater Tradition in Cleveland from 1971-1975 on WKBF Channel 61, in the 80's in WCLQ Ch 61, then again in the 1990's on WBNX Channel 55. Also in Detroit on WKBD Ch 50.

I had been groomed on The Ghoul and Sir Graves, but Creature Feature came along when I hit my early teens - perhaps this is why the show is still so fresh in my mind. By the time I had hit 13 or 14, Count Scary had become popular and when I had a drivers liscence - SHOCKTOBER was all the "rage".
2 maj 2002 · The Ghoul, as has been mentioned repeatedly, got his start in Cleveland (the mistake by the lake, he called with great affection) on WKBF-TV 61. The first place he expanded to was WKBD-TV 50 in Detroit. It wasn't until he started showing good numbers in Detroit that Kaiser officials decided to take The Ghoul national.
