9 paź 2009 · You can use WiX's dark.exe (MSI decompiler) to decompile an existing MSI file. Sometimes I implement something in Wise or InstallShield, compile an MSI and decompile it to WiX format. Then I lift the WiX markup and dump into my main WiX file. Works great and usually very fast.

It also supports a large number of Windows Installer features. So those are some of the better known and stable programs you can use to create Windows installers.
27 lip 2004 · We are about to buy wise windows installer for the first time. We have chosen the Wise installer because of the ODBC distribution capability among other things, but i cant find any reference regarding which packages (Standard, Pro or Enterprise) it is included in.
