28 cze 2013 · As of recently, Microsoft attachments are coming in as winmail.dat files when I go through the email icon to get to my mailboxes. (Using gmail, the attachments come through fine.) From what I understand, this was intentional with the last ios upgrade.
6 lut 2015 · 1) Open up the email and touch on the icon of the winmail.dat file. 2) You will see the "Open in Winmail" screen using a short tap; if not then keep touching the icon till the whole box darkens. 3) Once you keep touching the icon (on left side) itself, after a couple of seconds, a 2-choice menu pops up from the bottom.
8 lis 2023 · iPadOS Mail app fetches wrong attachments On my iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation), the iPadOS Mail app fetches the wrong email attachments from my Gmail account. I do not have this problem on my iPad Pro (9.7 inch) (A1674), nor my iPhone 12 Pro (A2406).
21 lut 2021 · On investigation it is normally a Mac (Apple) user and they have received a winmail.dat file. If I resend again specifying the email as TEXT is normally (not always) works. What do I have to do to fix it permenantly.
7 maj 2017 · Open the message in Mail. Touch and hold the winmail.dat attachment. Or on a Mac, choose File > Save Attachments to save the winmail.dat file. You can open a file with a third-party winmail.dat viewer. You can find these types of viewers on the App Store directly.
Based on my knowledge, Office 365 admins can use Windows PowerShell to change the message format to prevent the Winmail.dat attachment from being sent to external recipients. For the detailed steps, please refer to the following article:
2 lis 2022 · When I send an email from my computer (Windows 10 Pro & MS Office 365) to my iPhone it arrives as a 'Winmail.dat' file. In Outlook I've set:- File/Options/Mail/'Compose messages in this format' = 'HTML'
