26 mar 2010 · I'm facing an error on Windows XP startup. The keyboard doesn't work and I can't choose "Start windows normally". After waiting 30 seconds, Windows doesn't start on its own. When I test with a Windows LiveCD, the keyboard works. How can I fix the problem?

Since you claim it's keyboard independent it has to be a "software" problem. If it works correct in bios, then it must be your Windows settings. You can try to change the language settings and force it to use the proper one OR you have to try and reinstall your keyboard drivers.
24 lis 2010 · I have loaded the original Windows XP disk and hit F8. This gives me several different options and I choose Repair by pressing r. The problem is that my keyboard no longer works. r does not work nor do the arrows. It behaves as if the keyboard is not plugged in (and yes the keyboard is plugged in).
You cannot unplug a PS/2 keyboard and plug it in again and expect it to work without rebooting, unfortunately. The BIOS has to initialize it at boot-up time. The fact that the lights blink means that the keyboard is getting power and is initializing.
