8 cze 2010 · i have a little problem... on win xp, if i write on commandline shutdown -t 00 -r -f the reboot works fine. but if i paste it, as is, in a bat file...the prompt show me an infinite loop. anyone can say me why?
Your easiest fix is to grab a windows xp sp3 install disk, boot from the CD and do a repair on the system. Make sure you're not installing a new system, just repairing it. You can obtain an ISO of Windows XP SP3 here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=25129.
1 cze 2012 · This extended my activation to 30 days. Even though this extended my activation period, I was still unable to get the activation program to start up. I fixed that by going into “regedit” and searching for the “wpaevents” folder. I then changed the permissions to include “User” for “Full control”.

22 mar 2013 · Fix: I used Acronis True Image to image the drive in case something went wrong. Please do not try this if you don’t have a backup or image of the drive before attempting this. Restart the machine. Choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt by pressing F8 before the windows loading screen.
