Your easiest fix is to grab a windows xp sp3 install disk, boot from the CD and do a repair on the system. Make sure you're not installing a new system, just repairing it. You can obtain an ISO of Windows XP SP3 here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=25129.
11 mar 2003 · The temptation is to uninstall the onboard device in Device Manager. What you want to do in is case is disable the device in device manager. You may have to go back into Safe mode and re-install the original drivers for the device. Then reboot into safe mode and disable it, not uninstall it.
