16 wrz 2016 · The Windows XP machine (Computer Name SHC-Storage) can view/edit etc folders and files on the Windows 10 machine (Computer Name SHC-Study) through 'My Network Places' as shown in this screen view:-.
28 mar 2018 · The result of this is that I can communicate both ways for machine a to machine b (but not reliably) but I can't see my workgroup in windows Xp and I can't connect from windows 10 to windows xp. I simply want to create a home network, consisting of a windows XP machine and 2 windows 10 machines.
8 kwi 2018 · In Windows XP, create a Workgroup X (give a meaningful name). Then do the same on Windows 10 (use the new settings panel and search for Workgroup). Once you do this, on XP go to the workgroup (My Network Places) and then on the left, click "Setup a home or small office network".
7 sie 2018 · I have a share on Windows 10 Pro that is accessed by Windows 7 and 10 with no issues. On Windows XP machine, I can ping both the hostname and the IP, however I get error 64 when I tried net use and cant access it from File Explorer.
When you select a drive for the backup, the file contents will be stored in a folder \FileHistory\userName\computerName where userName is the name of the user that set up the File History, and computerName is the name of the computer which the files are being backed up form.
6 lut 2019 · I’m able to access the Windows 10 share from other computers running Windows 10 and 7 without an issue. SMB1 is enabled on the Windows 10 computer. I have tried accessing the share by both name and IP from the XP machine to no avail.
7 sie 2018 · I have a computer (let’s call it Server, runs Windows 10 Home) which needs to access shares on various computers throughout the network. They are a combination of XP, 7, 8 and 10. It works on all but one computer: I have that one computer, let’s call it LC2, that runs XP Pro - SP3.
