7 kwi 2010 · windows XP 64bit is horrible. If you are going to go you might as well go out to Win7. Everything should work just fine unless you are using old legacy applications/hardware from more then a 6+ years ago that have not been updated property.
Windows XP Professional x64 - A 64 bit version of standard XP, not to be confused with Windows XP 64-bit Edition, a whole different version that will not be discussed. I personally usually do not use this, as most Windows XP compatible programs are 32 bit and run fine with 4GB ram or less.

14 paź 2007 · Most of the people here are going to tell you not to use XP 64 because it has so many incompatabilities. So really there is no reason to change unless you are running 4+ gigs of ram.
I already have 64-bit Windows XP installed on my computer, although I keep having driver problems with it. So I'm wondering what the benefits are to either of the versions, like the pros and cons.
