Suddenly my Icon for the Windows Media Player has disappeared. I had an Icon for it on my desktop. I have gone to the "Set your default Programs" and it is there, but I can't get an Icon from there to put on the desktop.

24 mar 2024 · Right-click Start, click Programs and Features. Click “Turn Windows features on or off”. Expand Media Features, enable Windows Media Player, and click OK. Windows Media Player not listed in Windows Features? Windows N and KN editions.
16 sty 2011 · You can pin (stick programs to the taskbar) and un-pin (remove programs from the taskbar) icons to make them show up and vanish. Try finding Windows Media Player in your All Programs listing, then instead of left-clicking it to run it right-click it instead and select "Pin to Taskbar". That should put it back again.
WMP file icons do not appear. WMP works fine and opens the files, the file associations exist, but the icons (not thumbnails) for the media files are gone. The blank (unknown file) icon is shown instead.
