Steam should run the Origin/EA app and also "feed it" the necessary arguments to have your game launch automatically without you having to perform any extra actions separately.

2 lis 2022 · So many are talking about the issue with games not launching since EA changed from Origin to the new EA app. I couldn’t open battlefield 1 or battlefront 2 but I found an easy fix. Simply go into desktop mode, go to the EA website and sign in with your account, then open the game you’re having issues with (in desktop mode).
