19 lut 2011 · I haven't tried W780 yet, but it was brought to market as the same powder used in many of the Winchester Supreme factory ammo offerings, the 270 Win being one of those. It would be one to consider as a top option if starting from scratch.

It will assuredly work in the .260 Rem., the .270 Win., the 7mm-08 Rem. and the .270 WSM; you will get higher velocities out of other powders, but it will give good case fill and good velocities. It could be a viable option for someone loading those particular cartridges. Jan 30, 2014.
30 paź 2010 · It is my go-to slow burn rate powder. (It is essentially a spherical equivalent to 4831.) I've had good luck with it in .220 Swift, .243 Win, .270 Win, .30-06, and 7.62x54R. With my .220 Swift, the norm for a tuned load is a 100 yard group that can be covered with a dime.
10 sty 2008 · New Supreme 780 Winchester Smokeless powder is the same powder loaded in Winchester’s factory Supreme ammunition, including .243 Win., .270 Win. and .300 Win. Mag. rounds. Supreme 780 is a Ball Powder propellant, which means easy measure flow resulting in consistent charge weights.
31 sty 2014 · I've been looking at a number of powders and Supreme 780 seems to pop up in a lot of my searches but without much detail. It seems like a pretty versatile powder but not a "go to" powder for anyone. Is that because it works OK for many but not great for any?
7 cze 2008 · Well, I finally tried some of this new Winchester powder in my 270. Had hoped it would be a good replacement for the discontinued H450 which gives excellent accuracy and about 3070 fps with a max load of 60 gr under a 130 partition in my Win fwt. ( 22 in bbl ).
