12 paź 2003 · I am not familiar with your model but the trick is to put a dab of moly type gun grease wherever there is metal to metal contact in the action. Then use a modern oil that will not congeal like Break Free LP to lightly coat all inside parts.
27 cze 2011 · I would suggest cleaning out the bolt first, and see if that helps. If you're not sure how to tear it down, just get the bolt out of the gun. Then (outside!) spray it down with some carb or brake cleaner.
28 lut 2008 · Take down is very easy on these. Remove the magazine tube and push out the horizontal pin in the side of the receiver, pull down the lever and the whole trigger group will come right out in your hand as a complete subassembly. Now you can get in there to clean and lube everything properly.
3 kwi 2024 · I have an older Winchester model 250, 22 caliber. I have completely taken it apart, cleaned it, inspected all parts, oiled it, and reassembled. Still having the same problem. Lever action works perfectly very smooth. It will load cartridge in the barrel, but will not fire.
The primary reason that you are not finding any reference to it on the WACA website is because our primary focus is on the “Pre-1964” production Winchester Models. Your Model 250 (one of the variants of the Model 200) is a post-1963 production rifle.
20 cze 2018 · The Winchester model 250 was an economically priced 22 rim fire rifle using a manually actuated lever to cycle the action. The rifle was part of a series of guns that included the 250 (as shown above), the 270 which used a pump/slide action and the 290 which was a semi-automatic action, see all three below:
