Winchester 231 is a ball powder, one of the most popular handgun propellants in history. It is ideally suited to 38 Special, 45 Auto, and 9mm standard loads. Consistency, clean burning, low flash, and a broad range of applications make this powder a choice for any handgun cartridge loader.
3 cze 2017 · First of all, I see you got your data from the Hogdon reloading website. The data for the 230 gr FMJ is for a FLAT POINT, not ball. If you loaded your ammo at 1.267 OAL then you are probably loading ball.

2 mar 2013 · I have been experimenting with four different pistol powders: Bullseye, Blue Dot, 231 & Unique for four different pistol calibers: 9MM, 10MM, 40 S&W & 45 ACP. I use a Dillon powder measure for progressive loading and a Lee Perfect Powder Measure for manual drop loads.
18 wrz 2014 · I find that 231/HP38 is the most accurate powder in my .45s, but most find that Bullseye is THE .45 powder. You can get about 1400 rounds out of a 1# can of 231/HP38. Your powder cost for most fast powders will be less than 2 cents per round, no matter the powder you use.
