25 mar 2023 · 1897 Trench gun barrel. If I understand it correctly I cannot post photos, but three questions to start off with. First is an 97 trench gun barrel dated 44, no ordnance stamp, but a second proof mark next to the regular Winchester proof.

8 lis 2009 · Winchester stamped the length of the barrel on the underside of the barrel near the chamber end. When buying a 'trench gun' it's always important to check that the barrel length is correct.
18 sie 2017 · Originally only chambered in 12 gauge and 16 gauge, the Model 1897 cost $25 and barrel lengths ranged from 20 to 30 inches. stowage or concealment not rivaled today. The restoration project also represents an inexpensive and fun way to kill an otherwise lazy Saturday afternoon.
