25 mar 2023 · 1897 Trench gun barrel. If I understand it correctly I cannot post photos, but three questions to start off with. First is an 97 trench gun barrel dated 44, no ordnance stamp, but a second proof mark next to the regular Winchester proof.

20 mar 2009 · Insert rod down barrel with bolt closed, mark rod at muzzle, pull out and measure. That is your barrel length. The factory lengths can vary as much as 1/2". All Riot/trench guns were spec'd for a 20" barrel and "IMP CYL" choke. If it is marked "MOD" or 'FULL" it has been cut down by Bubba.

18 sie 2017 · Originally only chambered in 12 gauge and 16 gauge, the Model 1897 cost $25 and barrel lengths ranged from 20 to 30 inches. stowage or concealment not rivaled today. The restoration project also represents an inexpensive and fun way to kill an otherwise lazy Saturday afternoon.
