Mount Moriah Cemetery on Mount Moriah in Deadwood, South Dakota, is the burial place of Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Seth Bullock and other notable figures of the Wild West. By tradition, the American flag flies over the cemetery 24 hours a day, rather than merely from sunrise to sunset.
Hickok once shot and killed his own deputy in error, which was the downfall of his career as a lawman. After a tour of the East with Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show (1872 to 1873), he went to Deadwood, South Dakota, where he was murdered by Jack McCall while playing cards at the #10 Saloon.

28 sie 2024 · Wild Bill Hickok. His real name was James Butler Hickok but was widely known as “Wild Bill.” He was a famous lawman, scout, gunfighter, and actor. He came to Deadwood in 1876 to pursue gambling but was murdered in Saloon #10 by Jack McCall.
