All dragons besides Legendaries, Mythics, Regular and Ghostly Primaries, as well as monoliths and snowflakes who have no individual names, have a unique quest attributed to them. If the correct dragon is chosen for a given quest, two keys are given as a reward to unlock chests.
Legendary dragons and Mythic dragons are unique and are the only dragons in the game to have a special power. Currently there are only three legendary dragons in the game. Legendary dragons are also categorized as epic dragons.
