  1. FAT32 has the best compatibility for Wii (32768 cluster size is optimal). The default built-in Windows tool limits FAT32 to drives 32GB and under by default. I used a separate app called FAT32FormatGUI to format my 1TB Seagate drive. So far works perfectly with no issues.
