FAT32 has the best compatibility for Wii (32768 cluster size is optimal). The default built-in Windows tool limits FAT32 to drives 32GB and under by default. I used a separate app called FAT32FormatGUI to format my 1TB Seagate drive. So far works perfectly with no issues.

There are 2 ways to do this. 1. Format using msdos (i dont recomend this) 2. Use Fatformat32 (HIGHLY RECOMEMDED) i hate this method so much.

18 paź 2024 · Using Wii Backup Manager will format the drive to WBFS, not FAT32. You need to use a tool like guiformat to achieve FAT32. Select 32kb (32786) allocation unit size, overall better performance (I don't know exactly what the difference is, but 32k is better for Wii)

Just use EaseUS Partition Manager to format the drive into one big 500 GB FAT32 partition. WBFS files will be split automatically by Wii Backup Manager. Just google EaseUS Partition Manager and you'll get the right downloads and guides.
