I live in a fairly remote area with a lot of inconvenient conditions. Fiber does not reach us, and LTE barely seems to, either. I get -110 dbm to -120, and the internet seems to agree that -120 shouldn't even function, but it does. Painfully. How well would an outdoor YAGI antenna help me?
Does anyone see any issues with this before I pull trig? I believe both the router and yagi utilize a 802.11ac configuration. The yagi should connect directly into the router.
If you've explored alternative antennas, tell me with what you learned. I'm not sure how to debug my setup. Is piecing together an alternate antenna more difficult than just buying a few compatible pieces? Are most cheap yagi's total crap, overrated, or deceptively tricky to deploy?
