If you're looking for an additive for an engine with bad rings and scored cylinder walls try Lucas Oil Stabilizer. That is about the only thing the product is good for. You could also try STP in the Blue bottle, but IMO Lucas would work better.

The two scraping lands are completely worn down. The engine the ring comes from suffered from excessive oil consumption. Radial wear such as this, that not only occurs on the oil control rings, can almost always be traced back to fuel flooding.
27 mar 2016 · Worn rings are worn, only replacing them will help to have less worn rings. Thicker fluid may leak through the gap more slowly and 'band aid' the symptom but this is not helping the rings. Piston soak may unstick them (if they're stuck) which could improve compression and reduce consumption, but you'll need to diagnose the issue first.
29 cze 2018 · The crankcase is being pressurised by the compression gasses passing the pistons due to worn piston rings and/or cylinder bores. If so forget about any additive. It would be worth checking the engine breather system to ensure it is clean and free, then repeating the test.
