Untitled Story was a great game. Unfortunately using GM7 is probably the worst of your options for several reason. The biggest of these reasons is the lack of a legitimate way to obtain the software.
I don't know enough about either to know which is best for a complete beginner. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If it helps inform your response, here are some points about what I'd like to achieve long-term: I'm very much interested in using the medium for storytelling, so my game would likely be dialogue heavy.
