Beginner to game maker. Help! Hi everybody! I have a project in mind. I love writing stories so I decided making a short game could be a nice project for me to finish someday! I was wondering, if I’m a complete beginner to coding (if scratch doesn’t count 😂) how difficult would it be for me to try learn the basics of GML?
28 lip 2024 · Twine is an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories. You don’t need to write any code to create a simple story with Twine, but you can extend your stories with variables, conditional logic, images, CSS, and JavaScript when you're ready.
I'd suggest trying it first. Game maker is pretty good for entry level programmers thanks to its drag and drop and supportive community. But even then, programming is not easy. As long as you're motivated and eager to learn, you'll be able to make what you want in game maker.
Please do not use 1.4.1567 - although the most popular version in certain circles by a huge margin, it spots an impressive amount of issues and you are missing out on optimizations and "Fast Collision System" checkbox that were introduced around 1.4.1763.
