13 sie 2016 · The key factors that separate stories in games from other media is the freedom of how you tell the story, the content included, and how it effects everything. Many games have dynamic stories where the player tells the story of the character by the actions chosen. Any othe media is limited in that it can't be dynamic.
15 mar 2018 · So I know a big problem I have right now, is actually planning the game, something a few people have told me before - but I could really use some advice on how to learn to set limits, and to piece together your ideas, and just learning how to tell a story.
In general I prefer Game Maker to Unity when it comes to 2D development and I think it is slightly easier to learn for non-programmers. However if you want to specifically want to make a 2D Point & Click adventure, there are some tools out there that specifically to that.
Then, I try to think of characters first that have an interesting array of qualities. I come up with strengths, flaws, goals, and how each character is related. The character ark can usually be built by having their flaws get in the way of their goals, and having their strengths help them overcome it.
