19 lis 2016 · while downloading large games (i.e. DOOM, The Witcher 3) my PC frequently completely freezes (not a 5 second freeze or something like that, but a crash, and without blue screen or reboot, just complete standstill). 16 gru 2022 · Every time Steam updates or downloads (mostly updates) a game/app, it will work for a minute or so, Steam will stop responding, sometimes it will catch up with itself but then my entire computer will freeze to the point that I have to force it off via the power switch in the back.
5 gru 2017 · check that target drive is enough for steam temporary download files and actual game installation size. i.e. if a game is 58GB, maybe you need about 2x free disk space for the installation.

Outdated graphics drivers could be causing performance errors which are crashing your game, taking Steam down with it.
