19 lis 2016 · while downloading large games (i.e. DOOM, The Witcher 3) my PC frequently completely freezes (not a 5 second freeze or something like that, but a crash, and without blue screen or reboot, just complete standstill). I tried multiple things already: - update/reinstall all third party drivers (graphics driver, network driver) - reinstall steam.
27 lut 2019 · This issue has been reported by several users over the last days. From what it seems, it's affecting Windows 7 users. I think, there is no solution so far. Maybe force an older client version on your computer or import downloaded files from a non-7 PC.
16 gru 2022 · Every time Steam updates or downloads (mostly updates) a game/app, it will work for a minute or so, Steam will stop responding, sometimes it will catch up with itself but then my entire computer will freeze to the point that I have to force it off via the power switch in the back.
