5 cze 2023 · Now regarded by many as one of the most controversial presidents of American history, Andrew Jackson has appeared on U.S. currency dating back to the $5 bill in 1869. From 1914 to 1928, his face appeared on the $10 bill, and in 1929 the Treasury removed Jackson from the $10 bill and instead put him on the $20 bill, where he still resides today.
20 lut 2023 · $2 BILL. The two-dollar bill has Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the US. Jefferson’s face has been on the $2 United States Note since 1869. A $2 Federal Reserve note was introduced in 1976 and has had the same design since.
27 wrz 2024 · The original $2 note featured not Thomas Jefferson but the first Secretary of State, Alexander Hamilton (who would later get his own prominent place on the $10 bill). The third president’s first appearance came in 1869 with the introduction of the new note series.
