White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico 88002. Before visiting, please ensure that all persons in your group have documents ready to obtain a Visitor's Pass. All persons must be able to pass a federal background check. Persons unable to obtain a pass will not be permitted access to WSMR or the Museum.
The Mission of the White Sands Missile Range Museum is “to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of the greater White Sands area – its peoples, lands, and technological contributions in support of the United States Armed Forces – from the prehistoric era to the present.”

Patrons can view displays about the atomic age, space activity, America’s Missile origin, prehistoric cultures and the Old West of Southern New Mexico. The museum is open weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm (closed Sundays and holidays). Admission is free.
