It's like saying naan bread--yes, naan = bread, but saying it together like that tells you that it's not white bread or pumpernickel bread or challah bread. Chai tea specifies that it's not black or oolong or whatever I don't know teas, but you get the point 😭
If you tranfer the pokemon to a game with the same language, you can use the name rater to change the name of the pokemon. However this name will be treated as a nickname even in the other language.

The English names are used in Spanish and Italian for all Pokémon except Type: Null and the Paradox Pokémon (aside from Koraidon and Miraidon). Several other languages also use English Pokémon names in their animated series dubs.
The only problem is that he's level 100 and his name is "RAYQUAZA" which doesn't fit in with my other Pokemon, which have lower case names. I'm asking if there is a way to convert his name...
