Beans are inherently less likely to be a problem because of the flower structure which protects the nectary from spray. By comparison, some corn growers spray when it is tasselling which is potentially a death blow to bees.

Cover the plants with it and no insects will get on them. Then when it rains, the lime goes in the ground and raises the PH for a better crop. TWO GOODS, NO BADS.
